We are seeking to welcome a gardener/ groundskeeper to our Maintenance team at the Dancing Bear Lodge Property in Townsend, TN.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the and care and upkeep of our 38 acre campus, ensuring a well maintained, safe and aesthetically pleasing environment for the guests and staff.
This position is within our maintenance department and may include helping with general maintenance and events.
Duties:
- Perform general groundskeeping maintenance that includes keeping trails and walkways free of debris.
- Proficiently use a chainsaw and trimmers, prune trees and shrubs to maintain a neat appearance - Plant flowers, shrubs, and trees according to seasonal requirements.
Assist with vegetable and flower gardens.
- Operate hand tools and power equipment effectively - Maintain landscaped beds Irrigate/water gardens and lawns as needed - Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of outdoor spaces - Assist with special landscape maintenance projects
Experience:
- Previous experience in grounds keeping or related field preferred- Knowledge of lawn care techniques and landscape maintenance - Ability to operate hand tools and power tools efficiently - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions - Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions This position offers the opportunity to work in a wooded, outdoor environment while contributing to the overall appearance and natural setting of the property.
